LSS+
CD ROM SERIES
Supplement
to Locks, Safes and Security (Second Edition)
The LSS+
series is the multimedia complement to Locks, Safes, and
Security, written by Marc Weber Tobias. In addition to the
primary LSS+ Infobase disk described below, there are
multimedia supplements that contain video files that are linked to
the main Infobase. Each of these disks is color coded and numbered
by security level. The LSS+ CD ROM
series contains up to fourteen disks, depending upon security level: PUBLIC,
LOCKSMITH, GOVERNMENT,
and ALARMS.
Each disk is color coded by access rights, as shown. As more information is added to the Infobase,
additional disks will be released, in sequential numbered order.
Presently, the multimedia disks that are available are: LSS101,
LSS102, LSS201, LSS202, LSS203, LSS204, LSS205, LSS206 LSS301, LSS302, LSS303, LSS304,

LSS+ provides a
sophisticated search engine to allow instant access to all
information contained within the Infobase. Whereas PDF files allow
viewing of information and extremely limited search capabilities,
the LSS+ series allows complex searches and retrieval of all
information contained within the 10 GB Infobase. The series of
disks presents extremely detailed information, graphics, audio and
video files, as well as full text patents to supplement the data
within the hardbound edition. More than 5000 images have been
added, as well as hundred of audio and video clips, and over three
hundred patents. There is more than forty hours of video,
describing a variety of topics in detail, including the bypass of
many high security locks and safes. There is no equivalent
reference available.

The LSS+2008 black
disk contains four books books, all of the text, images, and
graphics, and links to the other disks in the series. All license
files are contained on this disk, and must be activated before you
can view the contents of any disk. The licenses for LSS+, DAME,
and the High Security Supplement have been combined on this disk
for the 2007 and 2008 releases. However, you will also need to
generate a separate license for the LSS 101-102, 201-204, 301-305,
and LSS401-403.
The HIGH
SECURITY SUPPLEMENT, LSS701 was added in 2008. This is
the text that details the defeat of Medeco high
security locks. You must have a copy of LSS+ to view
the contents of this disk.
The primary Infobase
is contained on the LSS+ disk. It is common to all security
levels. You may
request A Preview copy by sending an e-mail to
mwtobias@security.org.

The PUBLIC
Infobase contains information that is not sensitive or restricted
in nature, and closely follows the text within the hardbound
edition of Locks, Safes, and Security. The set is
comprised of LSS+, and LSS101 disks. Purchasers of the PUBLIC
version will not be required to provide identification. Only Level
One information will be available to public users.

The LOCKSMITH Infobase
contains restricted information regarding the bypass of certain
locks and safes, as well as detailed data regarding the forensic
investigation of locks, safes, and security. Significant material
has been added to the chapters on forensics. This information,
regarding burglary investigation, is intended for investigative
locksmiths, law enforcement, and criminalists. The LOCKSMITH
version of LSS+ will only be available to tradecraft and
government agencies, and is distributed by Security.org and
other vendors.
The set is comprised of LSS+, LSS101, LSS102, LSS201, LSS202, LSS203,
LSS204, LSS205, LSS206 LSS501, LSS502. The 2007 version of DAME
combined LSS501 and LSS502 on a single disk.
The Defense Against Methods of
Entry (D.A.M.E) special supplement provides approximately
sixty video segments that detail methods of bypass. This material
is part of the DAME course taught by Harry Sher, and can be
purchased separately from the Locksmith or Government Versions of
LSS+. Additional materials that describe the methods of bypass are
contained within LSS+. Originally, DAME was issued with LSS501 and
LSS502 in a two-volume CD series. As of 2007, it is contained on a
single DVD. You may also obtain this supplement on USB drive if
you do not have a DVD reader in your computer. A surcharge of
$25.00 is charged for the 2.0GB drive.

contains restricted and sensitive information regarding the bypass
of certain locks and safes, as well as all off the information
accessible in Level one and two. Extensive information, as well as

high security locks. The set is comprised of LSS+, LSS101, LSS102,
LSS201,
LSS202, LSS203, LSS204, LSS205, LSS206, LSS301-305, LSS401, LSS402, LSS403. This set will be sold to law enforcement and
government agencies only. You may also purchase LSS701, the High
Security Supplement.

The ALARMS Infobase contains
approximately ten hours of video, in addition to a very detailed
examination of alarm systems, sensors, system vulnerabilities, and
sensor defeat techniques, as contained within chapter 40. This
material has been greatly expanded from the original version of
the book, and of LSS+ Version 4.05. ALARMS will only be
sold to government agencies or private security contractors
providing services to government agencies.
The HIGH SECURITY SUPPLEMENT is
a single disk in two versions: Government and Locksmith. You must
have the appropriate version of LSS+ to view its contents.
The Infobase contains more than 300 images, tables, charts, and
graphs and 250 pages of text that details the latest techniques to
compromise all levels of security of Medeco Biaxial, m3, and
Bilevel cylinders.

The High
Security Supplement is also available in a printed edition.
