The Scout Indoor Camera keeps its data collection to a minimum by logging only the names, home addresses, email addresses, geographic locations, and IP addresses of its users. While those types of data are still sensitive, Scout uses encryption to protect the data. However, the camera’s lack of automatic updates is concerning, and so is its surveillance capabilities which includes video, audio, and location surveillance.
