Experience
Subbu Sthanu is a cybersecurity executive with nearly three decades of industry experience, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at IPVanish, where he leads product, marketing, customer support, and business development. He also oversees Ziff Davis’s related security products, including SugarSync and Livedrive.
Earlier in his career, Subbu held senior leadership roles at IBM and RSA, and served as an executive at high-growth companies including Idera and BeyondTrust. He led the strategy that resulted in Trustwave being named a leader in the Forrester Wave for Managed Security Service Providers.
Subbu has also co-founded two security and privacy startups. The first, Skyflow, focuses on data privacy through secure data vault infrastructure. The second, ClearedIn, delivers phishing protection for widely used B2B platforms spanning file sharing and messaging.
He sits on the board of directors of the Internet Infrastructure Coalition, an organization that advocates for public representation in how the internet’s infrastructure is developed.
Subbu also serves as an advisor to Security.org, contributing his expertise to the site’s digital security reviews, guides, and resources.
