However, Aura only covers 60 data broker websites. It also doesn’t list the sites on its website. But we have confirmation from an Aura phone rep that the service removes data from well-known data broker websites like Nuwber, TruthFinder, and IDTrue.

Like most data removal services, Aura’s data removal process is fully automated. Once you fill out all necessary information and submit the data removal request, Aura’s system will automatically handle the opt-out process. The whole process, in our experience, should take about one or two days. Aura notified us that it finalized the data removal process after only 22 hours.

DeleteMe, on the other hand, doesn’t automate the process. Instead, it has a dedicated team of experts that manually check people search sites for your data, and then send opt-out requests for it. DeleteMe says the whole process lasts seven days, and we can confirm that that’s how long it took when we reviewed DeleteMe.

We honestly think both services are user-friendly. That said, DeleteMe is a much better option if you’re mainly interested in data removal. It’s just more straightforward to use the service, as its platform primarily handles data removal.

DeleteMe’s service is accessed via an account dashboard on the service’s website. We think the dashboard’s design is very intuitive, and we found it very easy to navigate. It also took us less than six or seven minutes to provide DeleteMe all the information it needed to start the data removal process. The privacy reports are also a nice touch. We were also happy with the overall user experience when we tried out Aura’s data removal service. You can access it via Aura’s account dashboard or app, which both have a user-friendly design. That said, Aura’s interface can feel a bit more confusing to use since it also displays the service’s other security tools (identity theft protection, password manager, VPN, etc.). So, if you’re new to data removal services (most US adults are), you might feel a little overwhelmed when using Aura.

We read through both services’s support libraries, and we’re really happy with the level of detail both DeleteMe and Aura offer. No matter which one you pick, you get access to easy-to-follow tutorials, as well as helpful FAQs and support guides. We also like how both DeleteMe and Aura include screenshots and videos in their support articles.

Also, it’s true that Aura’s support library is more detailed. But keep in mind that’s only because it covers all of its security services, not just data removal.
