LifeLock Deals: Students, Military, and MoreIs there a LifeLock deal that’s right for you?
LifeLock is among our favorite identity theft protection services. One reason we like it so much is that it’s affordable without sacrificing quality. If you sign up for a full year, a month of LifeLock normally costs as little as $8.29.
Still, people want to pay as little as possible for quality identity theft protection. With that in mind, we’ve combed through LifeLock’s webpages to find ways you can save.
The bad news is that LifeLock doesn’t have a Prime Day sale, per se. However, in the week leading up to Prime Day 2021, the company offered what it called the Better Than Black Friday Sale. Given that the sale was in June, we can only assume LifeLock isn’t legally allowed to call it the Better Than Prime Day Sale.
At any rate, while the sale was on, LifeLock offered a Select subscription for just $7.99 a month for the first year. The Select option includes:
- Identity and Social Security alerts
- Credit monitoring from one credit bureau
- Stolen funds reimbursement for up to $25,000
- 500 GB of cloud storage
- Parental controls
- Norton virus protection guarantee
- Password manager
- VPN for up to five devices
Given that the Select plan is normally $9.99 a month, that’s more than a 20 percent discount.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday
There’s no word yet on how LifeLock’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals might look in 2021. As for last year, the company offered its Select plan for $8.49 a month — not quite as good as $7.99 a month. That said, LifeLock put all of its plans on sale on Black Friday, not just its Select plan, and it discounted both yearly and monthly plans.

Holiday and Seasonal Savings
We don’t just get excited over the tinsel and presents at Christmastime. We also love end-of-the-year deals, or any seasonal deal. Unfortunately, we haven’t uncovered any evidence that LifeLock offers or has offered special rates during holidays or entire seasons.
We’re partial to companies that give military discounts; it’s the patriotic thing to do. LifeLock checks this box: It offers military members 30 days free when they sign up, plus a 25 percent discount on monthly subscription fees. That discount is good throughout the lives of the LifeLock memberships. You’ll need to enter the LifeLock promo code “Militarycom” to take advantage of this.
LifeLock offers some great discounts for students, and not just on its identity monitoring services. However, the company’s student discounts aren’t available on its website directly. Rather, LifeLock works with the popular student savings site Student Beans. These are some of the best LifeLock deals for students posted currently:
- $60 off the first year of NortonLifeLock 360 with LifeLock Select
- $40 off the first year of NortonLifeLock Antivirus Plus
- $55 off the first year of NortonLifeLock 360 Standard for one device
- $65 off the first year of NortonLifeLock 360 Standard for five devices
- $50 off the NortonLifeLock Secure VPN for five devices
FYI: In addition to discounts on technology, Student Beans offers savings for students on fashion, food, drink, health, beauty, entertainment, books, and travel.1
LifeLock Discount Codes
Don’t want to wait for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to come along? On the web, you’ll find lots of LifeLock coupon and promo codes, but most of them aren’t actually necessary to get the savings. So you can skip the coupon codes and go directly to saving money.
LifeLock offers a free trial, a full 60 days at no cost. You can even sign up for the company’s top plan, LifeLock Ultimate Plus, during this trial. Simply head to the LifeLock site and sign up for a plan. LifeLock won’t charge you for two months, and if you cancel during that time, you owe nothing.

DID YOU KNOW: LifeLock began in 2005. In 2017, Symantec bought it and combined it with one of its other key properties, Norton, to create NortonLifeLock.2
When it comes to identity theft services, LifeLock is exactly the sort of company we like, as you can see in our LifeLock review. The company offers high value for decent prices. In addition, it provides discounts for special groups like the military and students, plus reduced prices on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Don’t forget that LifeLock is partnered with Norton, which offers antivirus products. While you’re watching for LifeLock deals over the next several months, keep an eye out for Norton antivirus deals.
