In the past, Arlo has been super generous on all the discount days, and we have a hunch that 2020 will be no different. Here we go!
What Can You Save on From Arlo?
Arlo offers lots of devices, and we compare each product in our full Arlo review. However, their main offerings are camera-focused. They sell four options for outdoor or indoor wireless Wi-Fi cameras, as well as wired Wi-Fi indoor cameras. The cameras also offer two-way audio, and there’s even an option with floodlight features for darker areas around our home. If we wanted to take our camera on the road, Arlo also offers a mobile camera that we could connect to our mobile plan. Here are all of their devices:
|Type||Item||Cost for Add-On Cameras and Packages|
|Outdoor/indoor wire-free Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Ultra||$299.99-$999.99|
|Outdoor/indoor wire-free Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Essential||$129.99-$149.99|
|Outdoor/indoor wire-free Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Pro 2||$179.99-$529.99|
|Outdoor/indoor wire-free Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Pro 3||$199.99-$649.99|
|Indoor wired Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Q||$199.99|
|Indoor wired Wi-Fi camera||Arlo Q Plus||$249.99|
|Mobile cellular LTE camera||Arlo Go||Must be purchased through a mobile provider, monthly costs vary|
|Baby monitor||Arlo Baby||$199.99|

|Video doorbell||Essential Video Doorbell||$199.99|
|Floodlight camera||Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera||$249.99-$299.99|
We get way more in the weeds on each specific camera in our Arlo pricing page. In addition to cameras, Arlo sells video doorbells and baby monitors. Plus, they’ve got a suite of plan offerings that enabled us to keep our video history on a cloud, detect packages, get alerts to our phone, and set specific areas to monitor. While we’ve seen deals offered historically on their devices, we haven’t seen discounts on their plan subscriptions.
Once you’re set up with an Arlo device, there is a wide selection of accessories to help you set up your device just how you need it. We could even accessorize our Arlo with “skins” available in black, green, pink, blue, yellow, or camouflage.
Arlo Technologies is a home security and automation company primarily known for making security cameras. Netgear owned Arlo until the decision was made to have Arlo stand as its own entity in August 2018.1 Today, they have 4.5 million accounts.2 And without further ado, on to the deals!
Insider Info: Since companies have suffered so much in 2020, it’s anticipated that this Black Friday will be the biggest savings ever.3
Arlo Cyber Monday Deals
In 2020, there’s been a huge increase in how much of our lives happen virtually, and much like the rest of society, we can expect there to be an increased focus on digital deals this year. While we aren’t sure exactly what deals Arlo has up their sleeve for this Cyber Monday, we can look back at what they’ve offered in the past.
Historically there have been huge deals on Arlo from a wide swath of major retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Lowe’s and Costco on their security cameras, doorbells, lights and baby monitors. In the past Cyber Mondays, for example, Walmart has offered a $70 discount on the Arlo Pro home security camera.
Pro Tip: Knowing what deals you want to take advantage of in advance will help you strategize for the big day and avoid the products you want selling out.
Arlo Black Friday Deals
A deals rundown wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the holy grail of sales: Black Friday. While some corporations get flack4 for opening the day after Thanksgiving, we can’t deny the temptation to get all of our holiday shopping done in one shot. That way, we can spend the rest of the season with our friends and family, which is what the holidays are all about, right?
Shopper Secret: Even though Amazon has its own Prime Day, it still posts major deals on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Arlo hasn’t officially released their Black Friday discounts, and last year, they didn’t loop us in until the day before. While this definitely put a pin in our need to map out exactly what we want to snag on Black Friday, we can get some good clues into the types of discounts we’ll see in 2020.
On Black Friday 2019, we saw savings up to 39 percent on the Arlo Pro and the Pro 2 HD security camera systems from Walmart, up to $239 off on security cameras, lights, and baby monitors, as well as up to 17 percent off on doorbell cameras on Amazon. Arlo has two doorbell camera options to choose from, and we conducted an Arlo video doorbell review to pick which one works best for you. In addition, we could have saved $200 on Arlo Pro 2 security cameras, up to $80 on the Arlo Pro 3 HD security cameras and up to $20 on the Arlo Q HD security camera on Amazon last year. To learn more, read our Arlo Pro 2 review or our Arlo Pro 3 review.
In the past, Arlo has certainly delivered on offering deals on both Cyber Monday and Black Friday. Their discounts have been spread across all their product offerings, from their indoor cameras to their baby monitors. Moreover, they have been widely available in big box stores like Best Buy and Walmart, as well as on Amazon. We’re all for killing multiple birds with one stone and saving money at the same time, so we will definitely be checking out what Arlo has in store for us in the 2020 season. We hope you’ll join us!
