Nest Cam Indoor - Product Header Image

The Nest Cam Indoor’s mediocre privacy rating stems from the fact that it’s one of the older security cameras still in production. Although it’s still on Google Nest’s lineup, it doesn’t receive regular and automatic firmware updates, opening it up to the possibilities of getting hacked. What’s even more concerning is that researchers have found that the camera doesn’t completely power down when turned off through its companion mobile app.
